For a detailed list of new features in JAWS or MAGic, start
the application, open the Help menu, and choose What's New.
The purpose of this file is to provide basic information about the
contents of this CD. It is divided into the following sections:

A. Files contained on this CD
1. AutoRun.inf - This file contains information that
allows the AutoRun feature to work.
2. Discinfo.html - This file allows you to insert your
program CD into a hardware DAISY player and access the
included DAISY books.
3. JAWS.wav - JAWS splash screen sound file.
4. MAGic.wav - MAGic splash screen sound file.
5. ReadMe.txt - The file you are currently reading.
6. JAWSSetup.exe - Launches the JAWS Setup dialog box,
where you can choose one of the following actions:
JAWS Setup, Training Materials, JAWS Network Setup,
View Readme, or Cancel.
7. MAGicSetup.exe - Launches the MAGic Setup dialog box,
where you can choose one of the following actions:
MAGic Setup, Training Materials, MAGic Network Setup,
View Readme, or Cancel.
8. Freedom.ico - Freedom Scientific icon file.
B. Folders contained on this CD
This CD contains installation files for JAWS and MAGic,
"JAWS Basic Training" and "MAGic Basic Training" in DAISY format,
"Surfing the Internet with JAWS," "What's New in JAWS" and
"What's New in MAGic" in DAISY format.
The following folders can be accessed from the root of the
program CD:
1. JAWSBasicTraining
This folder contains the JAWS Basic Training in DAISY format.
You can listen to audio or read the text of these modules by using
FSReader Demo, which is installed automatically when you
install JAWS.
2. MAGicBasicTraining
This folder contains the MAGic Basic Training in DAISY format.
You can listen to audio or read the text of these modules by
using FSReader Demo, which is installed automatically when
you install MAGic.
3. JAWS
The JAWS folder contains one subfolder, called Setup.
The Setup folder contains the files to install JAWS.
4. MAGic
The MAGic folder contains one subfolder, called Setup.
The Setup folder contains the files to install.
5. SurfingTheInternetWithJAWS
This folder contains a series of files that demonstrate and explain
the powerful HTML features available in JAWS. Through realistic
sample pages and exercises, you are shown how to effectively
apply those HTML features to real Internet sites. To start using
this tool, select the file _Surfs_Up_Start_Here.htm and press ENTER.
Also within this folder is a self-extracting zip file,
ZIP_Surfs_Up.exe, which installs Surf's Up on a computer's local
hard drive. This is great for training where Internet access
is limited or not available.
6. Tools
The Tools folder contains items Freedom Scientific Technical Support
may use to assist you if you experience certain types of issues.
7. Training
This folder contains information related to the training materials
available on your JAWS or MAGic program CD.
8. JAWSWhatIsNew
This folder contains a DAISY book with audio that details the new
features of JAWS. You can listen to this material by using
FSReader Demo, which is installed automatically when you
install JAWS.
9. MAGicWhatIsNew
This folder contains a DAISY book with audio that details the new
features of MAGic. You can listen to this material by using
FSReader Demo, which is installed automatically when you
install MAGic.
