Could someone help me please. I did what is written here exactly ,and when the game is loading with a bunch of faces showing,it crashes to desktop.I have windows XP SP 3 ,I have installed Net Framework 3.5. ,CPU intelCore 2 duo 2,67 Ghz ,,2 GB ram,Nvidia 8600 GT 512 M.I have even checked on www.canyourunit.com,and i have passed their tests.Help please !!

game notes say to set resolution lower + restart fixes this, thats bollocks. it doesnt fix shit.

oh well, same issue over and over. AiTB ty for trying and sharing this file... I guess we have to wait more for the camera issue go away....
(have you guys think that the 1st GTA4 that was uploaded could been the problem to begin with?) maybe someone working for rockstar gave us a torrent impossible to crack/patch all bugged out?... just a though.

minimizing the resolution and restarting game worked for me. I can play now. Havnt tested if it works when cranking up my resolution again yet.

Hello. i can't get it to work. Every time, when i launch the launchGTAIV.EXE its giving me a social club application and then it says that i'm not logged in. Then i get the DD3D30 error.:S

This works for me but i get the drunken cam, vehicles unstoppable when you sit in them and all vehicles I get into start to smoke like it's damaged.
Gotta be something that the R* guys has done to piss us off.

The problem is not the crack or that rockstar released a nuked copy. Read gamespot, all of the problems exist for everyone (masseffect anyone?)
Hopefully, this will again prove the superiority of the scene in fixing the problems that the game devs cannot.

I'VE DONE IT. I've SOLVED THE PROBLEM. I've worked out why for some people disabling the internet works but for others it doesn't!!!
It appears that even with the no-DVD crack, the game STILL checks your DVD. It doesn't use the Securom bullshit so it doesn't matter if you have a Daemon Tools image but you do need the DVD mounted.
So in other words, if you are having problems MAKE SURE YOU MOUNT THE DVD 1 IMAGE (it's probably also okay if you burnt it to a DL but I can't guarantee that particularly if your DVD is not bookedtyped and used in a DVD-rom drive) and then disable the internet connection (or block mls .rockstargames .com) and PLAY. I've played for about 9 hours, no wobbling camera, no smoking cars, nothing.
BTW if your DVD image is modified I cannot guarantee it will work. It depends how stringent the check is. If your DVD includes a crack it is modified so don't complain. Your DVD should have the following hashes if it is the original:

One more thing... It appears you may have a wobbling camera the first time you play (make sure you create a offline profile) including possibly the first time you play under a different user. If this happens, then quit and restart and it should go away and never come back provided you follow what I say.

HypRoN isn't joking. I just looked up some info, the port release for all those who bought GTA4 is incredibly buggy with a range of issues.
While console users are happy, PC gamers aren't, obviously. So that's a bit of reassurance, at least for me.
