I started doing this because I saw Howard being upped everyday but not O&A, and I wanted people to be able to hear O&A too. If I don't, someone else will - and there are other places / ways to listen besides tpb.org / mn.org to boot.

everyone is going at this piracy thing all wrong. they need to realize its going to happen and stopping it is not an option at this point. you cut one head off two more grow in its place. they need to find a way to work with it if they really want to make progress. O&A have the right idea about it. they know its there, they have supported it. but they dont list it as one of the ways you can hear the show.

yeah i don't have a clue how they get any sort of "numbers"? unless 1% of subs have neilsen boxes, where are listening stats coming from? too bad they don't make all the channels ala carte (like they told the DOJ they would) so they would see i have 3 radios and only want o&a on them. I'm on here because i am not going to pay for xm online, after all, they told the DOJ that the merger would SAVE the subscribers money... and i'm pissed off about their blatant lie

I'd imagine Sirius xm has pretty reliable stats on who is listening. They have the total number of people who are subscribers, and because its digital, they can just meter who is listening to what channel. I bet they know within

??? They can tell who's streaming what online but they can't tell what anyone is listening to on a radio any better than terrestrial broadcast radio can. And yea, that "ala carte" would be nice but you'll need a new $300 radio anyway so it's not worth it. They lied / misrepresented about so much about that "merger" there should be repercussions.

Oh my darling goose, don't ever think my panic at them mentioning it on air is me being against the beautiful work you do day in and day out. Its just guilt, thats all. My own personal guilt. But at the same time I can see how what I download is excusable. No way will I hand over Siriusxm any money for a show I used to enjoy for free. Not my fault free-krock-nowFM once again panicked and switched formats.
