don't know why you guys bother with mounting image or burning. Extract to a folder, install from the folder, put in NOCD crack, done.. I have done this for EVERY torrent i download and never have had to fool around with mounting images or burning discs

I DL'ed the torrent and installed everything fine, but when I go to launch the game it quits out and brings up the CoDWAW console and gives me a "unhandled exception caught" error. Whats up with that? I copied the crack over and everything...

For all of you who has problems when trying to start a new game and it just repeats the question which difficulty you want to play on. Do as follows: You need to install punkbuster when the installation asks for it. Cause even if you dont play online it creates a profile for you which will "enable" the storymode.

@super64c because extracting a bunch of rar files to an iso and then subsequently extracting that iso and THEN installing takes longer than extracting to iso and mounting the image to install. I agree with not burning DVDs also, but extracting an iso to a folder is an equally wasteful method and use of time.

Having problems creating a profile?
1) Navigate to (Vista) on your computer. MAKE SURE to enable hidden files and folders to see this .dir

(Win XP) c:\documents and settings\Username\local settings\application data\activision\codwaw\players\profiles
2) Create a folder with the name of the profile you wish to use
3) Delete any other folders with other profile names that you see in the same .dir
4) Open the file "active", delete the existing profile name, and enter yours, making sure it's the same as your named folder and save.
5) Right-click on the CoDWawmp.exe and select "Desktop (create shortcut)" from the "Send To" menu.
6) Right click on the new shortcut you just created and go to its properties.
7) Find the TARGET field and add the following to the END of the existing target, do not DELETE any of the existing tartget!

Click OK and use this shortcut to run the game. In the game drop down console with ~ and type /connect 213.139.163.78

I created my profiles directory as
C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War\players\profiles\xXthunderXx
then I created and added active.txt file into the pofiles directory only
example
C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War\players\profiles\active.txt and added my player id inthe txt file xXthunderXx

ok, so i downloaded it, opened the file, and all there is is a bunch of files like rld-cod5.r04
can any one tell me what to do with them in detail. i also have the crack too if that was supposed to help.

To football: You get winrar and open up the folder containing the files. Double click and open the file named rld_cod5.rar and extract the file inside onto another folder. Follow the instructions in the nfo then.

When I enter the Activision folder there is just a Call Of Duty folder and when I enter that there is no folder called player or profile so where the fuck shall I put the textfile I just has told to create?

Hi can anyone help me please!? I?m have trouble getting online (multiplayer) with this game.
I?m using Vista,
I have got the game up and running, solo is running great thanks!
But I cannot get the multiplayer to work?
This is what I did so far; I created my profiles directory as,
C:\Users\user folder + active.txt
1. I create textfile: active.txt
2. I create new FOLDER and name it after my profile name! (folder remains empty)
3. open active.txt and type in my profile.
But when I open the game I can see my profile in the top right had corner and it says; my name is offline
When I click to go online it just take me straight back to create a profile????
I really not sure what is happening now please! help if one knows!??
