Just go with it, Evil Genius directory is inside. Edit: Sorry people. Looks like I left some of my old save files in the directory. But not to worry! There is a DeleteSavedGames doo-hickey in the ReleaseExe. So you can just run that, and all should be fine.

Prove it. They bought Evil Genius years ago, and I haven't heard anything of a sequel or add-on.

I need help. I went to ReleaseExe, found the executable and everytime I click on it when it begins to start it says that "The program has encountered a problem and needs to close." (Send Error Report - Don't Send). I'm thinking that the game needs to be installed. Is there a button you included the would allow me to install the game or another method?

For those who don't know if this is true or not, IT IS!
It works fine for me.. Thanks for the upload.
- When you open "Big File.zip", export it somewhere.
- Go to the folder called "ReleaseExe" and open up "TextureDecompressor_US.exe".
- When that's done, use "EvilGeniusExeStub-Release.exe" to start up your game.
Now it should work. If it doesn't, try to open "DeleteSavedGames.exe". I don't think anything is supposed to happen, so don't worry if nothing happens.

I got a blue screen of death while in the middle of playing this game. I think it has to do with the glossary screen in the game. The texts are all misaligned. At one point a video hint showed up all screwed, then after that, BSoD. It may just be me, but I think certainly not worth the trouble finding out if it will be the same for you. I use winXP.
Go download the other one on here, which I don't have a problem with. But be sure to follow my instruction there to get it working.

Hmm, it seems like the other torrent also causes BSoD. It happens at the same circumstance. I am not sure how. Seems I was rotating the camera, then a video pop ups, the video has strangle lines near bottom like a graphic problem, if you stop the video or let it finish, you will get BSoD.

This torrent should not make your game blue screen, I use this file myself. So, it's must be a computer issue.
Referring to the "Hard Modded' thing, I'm not sure what you're referring to. The only mods this game has, are the zoom mod, and a couple more items, which I mentioned in the description above. If you are using my old save files, then yes I used the gold cheat, but I don't know what else you would be referring to.

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but if your graphics, too, are all edgy and of very low-quality, then don't execute the graphics decompressor - it works absolutely fine without it. One thing I couldn't solve, though - the in-game help menu is somewhat bugged - the text appears on the top left corner and is unreadable. Overall, very good upload, though!

For those who have BSoD problem (especially after loading the level, minion step, moving camera) try to remove following files from ReleaseExe subdirectory:
d3d*.dll
MSVC*.dll
MFC*.dll
