Alla sua uscita (e tuttora) The Wall ha scatenato pareri contrastanti: c'è chi lo reputa il migliore album dei Pink Floyd, e chi invece lo considera non solo non all'altezza dei precedenti, ma anche la fine dei veri Pink Floyd, ormai totalmente egemonizzati da Roger Waters (non a caso durante le registrazioni del disco Richard Wright viene espulso dalla band per diverbi con Waters e ai live dell' album partecipa come session man). Il sound del disco infatti è molto diverso rispetto ai Pink Floyd classici. Si sono spesso accusati "The Wall" e il successivo "The Final Cut (1983)" di subordinare la musica ai testi. In realtà la cosa è infondata: entrambi gli album sono basati su melodie impeccabili e ben articolate. Quello che probabilmente spiazza i fan dei Pink Floyd classici è l'assenza delle tipiche tastiere "a tappeto" di Richard Wright, che fino all'album precedente si erano rivelate fondamentali nel dare al sound dei Floyd quell'atmosfera spaziale e onirica: a rimpiazzarle pianoforte e orchestra, elementi da sempre tipici della dimensione cantautorale. Forse The Wall non è un disco esente da pecche, ma la forza dirompente del suo concept e le tinte forti donate con maestria da Waters ne hanno fatto uno dei pilastri stessi del Rock (si è posizionato all' 87° posto nella lista dei 500 migliori album secondo Rolling Stone). Why does this torrent have so many seeders? It's an okay album, but in my opinion by far not as good as Wish you were here or Dark side of the moon, and those only have 60~70 seeders...

To those who are complaining about missing tracks... They're all there, the mp3s are just poorly tagged. About half of them are missing the artist and album labels. I had to go through and make the tagging consistent.
