Short description:
Nowhere near an accurate or entertaining portrayal of life in Akiba.
Long description:
Mild motion sickness was caused by the jerky camera angles, uninspired voice acting, amateur editing.
Disorienting mixtures of English and Japanese were not uncommon, either because they didn't fade out the Japanese soundtrack soon enough or because they didn't fade it out enough. Combine this with unnecessary voice-overs for sound-effects or subtitles and you get something less than pleasant to watch.
They attempted to weave 6 "stories" together about these amazing people and their adventures in akiba, which would have been fine if the stories were not botched by overall incompetence.

Not enough research was done on what constitutes normalcy in Akiba, I was disappointed to find that the general vibe gotten from this DVD was one of an outsider. Expect generally strange uses of terms like "Overclocker" ("Yes, it's possible to still be an overclocker after getting married" was one of the stranger lines).
Unfortunately this DVD doesn't even satisfy my love of the architecture of Akiba, the occasional shots of the atmosphere are either marred by a fidgety camera or aren't long enough to show Akiba's true beauty.
