This is the 1998 semi-cut version.
It was cut exactly the same way in 1986 and 1990 as follows -
(1) 17m - Shot of woman's head being banged with window removed, including subsequent sight of blood gushing from her mouth and sight of face sliding down window.
(2) 39m - Close shots of knee to breast and crotch removed in fight in dormitory.
(3) 40m - Entire rape scene removed, from the point where man grabs woman and says "shut up you slut", resuming on sight of train.
(4) 49m - Shot of hook being thrust into woman's neck removed.
(5) 56m - Rape in warden's office reduced to establishment, removing slap to face and retaining only sight of woman falling down.
(6) 68m - Restrained woman being beaten with truncheon reduced by removing sight of bloody mouth and sight of woman writhing open-legged afterwards.
In 1998 we saw the film again (uncut) and waived cuts (1) and (2). However, cuts (3), (4) (5) and (6) were retained.
