for coop lan, just put this fix in your cod install folder and run to play.
Host (server) dont need this file, only clients.
Works in LAN and Hamachi.

Vista: Browse to and delete everything except for the active.txt. You may need to go into the game one more time, back out, and delete more. Right click on the ?players? folder and make sure it?s not set to Read Only. Now you?ll be able to create a profile for yourself.
Windows XP: ?Users? is called ?Documents and Setting?

Remember : To connect to the server : Open COD5 drop down console with ~ and type

No private server patch patch/fix is need to connect to this server! (So don't copy over your exe file ) But you do need to upgrade your game to version 1.1. (links above)

just turn off your network and then you should be able of playing the game after that you can turn your internet back on and it should still work

Correction...not working. I followed instructions, but I tried both burning image and mounting with Daemon Tools and solo/co cop won't run. It is insisting on having dvd in drive. Guess I'll try another unless someone has a suggestion.
