For Death91: To fix the upside-down problem try this: Right-click your desktop and go to Properties. Then go to the settings tab, the click the Advanced button and go to the Graphics card tab and click the Graphics Properties button, then go to Display Setting and uncheck Enable Rotation. Repeat, you do not want Rotation enable, turn it off. I just had this problem day before yesterday ^^
Download and everything went smoothly, but I was wondering how to get the PS2 Emulator and FFX game for it. Can you send me the files for it or a link to where to get them Shorrtybearr?

Bear in mind that you really need a top notch cpu to get a good framerate. Dual core is a minimum requirement.
Washburne, download and install a tool called daemon tools (Google them for the website), then use daemon tools to mount the files you downloaded with this torrent. (just right click on daemon tools and use the small menu) after you?ve mounted the install disk it?s pretty straight forward, just install like you bought the game.
Saxnot, to be honest I can?t remember but I don?t think you need a crack to play. Are you sure ur mounting disk one and not the install disk?

Saxnot, its difficult for me to answer that because im not sure what youve installed. Usually something like K-lite codec pack has been installed so i just uninstall that from the add/remove programs menu. Im not sure if a "Codec Cleaner program" is out there but a quick look at google should help. try searing for "removing codecs" or "FFVII codec problem" n see what comes up.

Alright Shorrtybearr, I followed both links that you put up for me, I downloaded and unzipped the FFX copy, and I downloaded and setup the PS2 Emulator.
But whenever I try to start the PS2 Emulator it says it can't run without the BIOS which indeed isn't in it's folder. The BIOS folder is empty, so do I really need to find a BIOS for it? And if so, where can I find it?
As for FFX, I unzipped it's 68 or so parts into a folder, and then unzipped one more file from that. So my end result is like 20 or so files, most of them are .IRX files, but there's alos a .IMG file and a .MDS file too, as well as the box art.
Which means, suffice it to say, even though I have them both all downloaded and ready to play, I'm afraid I have no idea how to get them started working :(

I have a problem... Help... I downloaded this game... From this torrent.... Installation went OK.. No problems.. But when I started game.... I can hear sound but there's nothing on the screen... I can only see blank screen.... Now... I have Acer 5102 laptop... It's AMD turion X2 with 2 gb of ram and Ati X1300 with 128 mb of ram.... I can't solve that problem.... Can somebody help?

anyone of them should do, just dwnload the bios throw it in the folder and ur off n running. As for the irx files im not so sure, i think they're substitues for the elf object files you usually get but im not sure. maybe its because its the international version or the jpn voices i dunno.

Run the ps2 emulator, set up the config (check here for info on that http://www.pcsx2.net/guide.php ) run the iso or mds through the emulator and enjoy.

For some reason this game wont let me install it. Whether I extract the files somewhere on my computer or just mount the whole thing on a virtual drive through Alchohol 120% or MagicISO I get the same result. It'll start up to the list where you can install DirectX and Yamaha and the game itself, but they don't work. When I click the install button to install the game, it closes out of the little program, my cursor shows something start to load...then nothing.

Followed instructions, installed... all working ok except for the sound. Music is fine but in game attacks/train pulling in to station/jesse punching guard/menu interface dnt make any sound... save points etc etc Im guessing i deleted a codec that is required for those sounds?

OK PEOPLE this game has Given me Grief like no other. I tried ultimate version, this one, and still got either slowdown upon play or black screen.
If you tried installing this on full and you still didn't get any movies running, guess what it could be? The game didn't actually install the movie files into your final fantasy data folder.
So to fix this simply mount the images, 2,3, 4 and copy the data/movies file to your hard drive. Should work now.
I felt like tearing my head off when i realized that was the problem.
And YES i did do max install.

Ok adding on to my 1st comment....some of the duplicate files on disk 4 are corrupt, so copy the movies from disk 4 to your cpu first. then copy over ones from 3rd disk, then finally from 2nd disk.
Because this is a UK version of the game u want to try running the 1.02 patch instead of xp patches.

In order to see if ur computer can even read those movie files open one of em up in various players. I can run em in windows media player but not divx of vlc player.

ok, i used nero burning rom to burn the iso image of the installation file onto a cd. when i checked the cd, there were no files and it didn't autoplay, even though the cd space has been written on.
when i run the iso through daemon tools, it works fine. is there any way to make it work on a CD?

Oh yeah, about problems with movie files. When I got the "Ultima" a couple years ago, I had game crashes with certain scenes.. I didn't know what to do so I just replaced the corrupted avi's or whatever file types they were, with my own random movie files I had on my comp. I would just overwrite a movie file in ff7 with any old video clip by making it the same file name. It worked for me.

Downloaded this and Only disk 3 (AKA game disk 2 if you don't count install disk) appears to be a valid ISO file.
Others won't mount, running the "file" command on Linux just calls them data files (Disk 3 gives ISO file) and my CD burner (K3b) says they're invalid.
Are disk 1,2 and 4 a different format to disk 3? I would've blamed it on faulty download but it happened to 3 out of 4 disks, and I've rechecked the hashes

This is how I got it to work:
Install with disk one. BEFORE starting the game, install the 1.2 patch then (DO NOT INSTALL THE CHOCOBO PATCH!) install the TM2.0 codec After this, install the HD patch (read the notes it comes with). You are free to install other mods now. Mount disk two (game disk #1) with daemon tools AND YASU enabled.
I'd keep the installation around because it took me 4 tries to get it working correctly. Works great so far, I'm to the second reactor.

I forgot to mention when you run the game for the first time, you'll need to configure your video to run with Nvidia checked as well as TNT. This was automatically selected on mine, but might be different for others.

Ok, a few years down the line and i decided to re-install this. There are some new updates e.g. the team avalanche's graphical overhaul.
I've seen some of your problems and tbh i really dont understand them. I installed this on a completely different system than before (win 7 32bit) and it worked straight away, i used deamon tools to mount it, updated it to 1.2 and it ran.
I've since added some of the additional stuff, although some of it isnt working 100%.
P.s. if you get any corruption notices or anything like that try re-hash the torrent.

I've done everything you said to do in the instructions. I downloaded and installed the 1.o2 patch, the XP Patch, and the Chocobo Patch. Those are the only patches i've added onto the game and it came out like this.

I already found a fix to my problem. All you have to do is go into your FF7config and go into the graphics tab and change it from Direct3D to Software Render and it should work fine.

LAPTOP PROBLEMS:
I had problems to play this game on my Laptop, so I did this and worked very well.
First of all, you can't play on Laptop because you can not even press [OK] - (using normal Return key) to choose to Start: New Game. :S
So... I did this, installed the game in a Desktop Computer (if you don't have one ask a friend or go to a LanHouse), start playing, then go to the Game Menu, choose Configurations, and then change the Control Game Configurations, so you have to change at least the NumPadEnter to Return.
After that you have to play until you find the Save Point, so you Save your game; then if you want to you can Quit.
Now you go to the file where the game where installed in that Desktop Computer, copy everything that are in there, like Data file, Save file especially, and there is a file called "ff7input.cfg" (this is the one you are really looking for), you copy that to another device like pendrive, for example, and you go to your Laptop now, and find the file where the game is installed in your Laptop, you copy all that files you've taken from that Desktop Computer to your Laptop, so this way, your Laptop game will use that save file you just copied and that "ff7input.cfg" too, so when you start to play in your Laptop it will use your new Configuration about Game Control, so you will be able to use the Return button of your Laptop keybord.

After downloading and trying to run numerous ffvii programs, both pc and psx roms, this one works great. I'm running vista on a laptop (which has a numpad so I didn't have the same problem as the previous poster). However, it just crashed for the first time. It was not long after the snowboarding segment on disc 2. There's a section where you have to walk through a blizzard, placing markers. An enemy battle was initiated, and then after I won and collect my XP, it shut down while trying to return to the blizzard area. Will try again and post if i have anything new to offer.
