The Yankee Dollar - 1968 Very minor band that released an LP with both folk-rock and psychedelic overtones for Dot in 1968. Their male-female harmonic blend was in the spirit of the Jefferson Airplane and the Mamas & the Papas, and indeed, some of the tracks sound a bit like a garage Mamas & the Papas with their prominent organ parts. Psychedelic-tinged late-'60s harmony rock, neither offensive nor durable. Heavy arrangements of folk-rock standards of the era like "Let's Get Together," "Catch the Wind, " and "The Times They Are A-Changin'" share space with unremarkable original material. Love this band. First time seeing the whole album in any format. Thanks here as well! It's always great to see rare stuff like this, and FLAC no less! I'm hoping someone gets back on board and seeding though - stalled out at 63.3%
