got the same problem! installed it just fine but the game doesn't run after installation. some kint of message block pops up. if u could then please tell us what we did wrong lor the correct way to istall it and use the patch. any help would be deeply appreciated....

Change your language for non-Unicode programs to Japanese.
ControlPanel - Clock, Lang, Region - Region and Lang - Administrative - Change system locale
Set it to Japanese, restart, and you're good to go.

Either that, or get that thing that allows you to run programs in Japanese locale right through the right click menu.

Amazing visual novel. Simply stunning. Played it until the very end, and enjoyed every second of it.
