Why do people RAR torrents? :p :p :p and grrr
Torrents are rar'd to prevent asshole snoops to see what you are indeed downloading. Downloading .avi and such is very very bad because anyone scanning your ports are your downloading can see what it is your reciveing, plus if the file get currupted during download you cant fix it without haveint to download the hole thing again, If its rar'd then you only need to download 15 - 50 mb rather then 700+mb.
What i dont get is why people bitch about rar's. sure there are the odd asshole that passwords his rar and a few idiots that hide incorrect files or spam programs in them but thats the chance you take. Learn how to use a compression program and you wont find rar's that much of a problem.

That's complete nonsense. Any savy IT security person can unrar parts from a multipacked file and check its source and contents.
They multipack as rar because idiots still think it looks cool and 'scene'. Obviously it's utterly useless and VERY BAD to do so in bittorrent land. All unpacked material stays seeded much longer. Nobody keeps rarred files on disk.

i've downloaded 100's of AVI torrents (non-RAR'd), and have had 0 problems with "Johnny Law". never had corrupt files either, though i've had TONS of RAR split files that were corrupt, and no one ever uploaded the fixed RAR files for the torrents i wanted. if the initial seeder CHECKS the RAR before sharing with the program's checking feature, this might not happen, but some people...
being fair, there's problems with AVI's sometimes, too. people can name files anything they want (extension-wise), so you may be getting a crappy WMV, or not even a video file at all, if you're not careful.
anyway, i believe RAR has it's place (it's a GREAT program), just not here.

Has anyone else had problems with no audio? If anyone can give me some insight it would be much appreciated. I am using nero to burn the iso to disk but I have no audio. Picture quality is great. Oh no that I think about it, it didn't load on my dvd player but on my computer it did? Anyone?

Rar files suck big time!
It's just a stupid, non-sense, useless proprietary format that no one really needs it.
Except the people behind moviex, softzone and others behind loder who think they're doing you a cool favor.
