The problem is the lang.ini the version of IND is different from release u downloaded probably release with Russian installer u have to dl iND release

after editing language string from GERMAN to DEFAULT i made the ERROR message gone --BUT after dialog window --"PRESS any SERIAL NUMBER --NEXT --RUN the GAME...bla-bla" the game NOT starts...dialog windows closed and NOTHING... --downloading the iND full release now-(((

sorter i did taht 2 i changed the
LANGUAGE=0x07 to the LANGUAGE=0x09
and it worked bhut after the achtivation proses the windows close no game :(

mir ist nicht entfallen, dass viele Leute auf realese von AitD 5 ungeduldig warten, und nicht verstehen können, warum es denn noch nicht gibt.
Daher Aufklärung für die, die es interessiert:
Der Entwickler ATARI hat aktuell enorme finanziele Schwierigkeiten. Das wörtliche Leben und Sterben der Firma hängt vom Projekt "Alone in the Dark 5" ab.
Da es keinesfall im Interesse der ReleaseGroups ist (DEViANCE(HATRED), RELOADED(loder), ViTALiTY, BACKLASH, DELIGHT, RAZOR1911(Nerv, Acet1, Dubmood, BlackPanther) Quelle: suprbay.org) für Untergang einer Softwareschmiede verantwortlich sein, hat man sich einvernehmlich darauf geeinigt auf Release zunächst zu verzichten.
(zumal viele der Cracker mit ATARI quasi aufgewachsen sind...)
Es ist daher unwahrscheinlich, dass der Crack innerhalb nächsten 4 Wochen erscheinen wrid. (wahrscheinlich auch noch länger (errinnert euch an DTM2, da hats 1 Jahr gedauert, bis der Crack draussen war).

see not the lang file dont copy that if u do it wont work if you dont copy LANG.INI The game is working :)
