Luke771: Did you watch the episode? They explain it quite sensibly. The fact is that the conveyer does not in any way counteract the ability of the plane to move forward. On a plane the wheels are just there to allow it to move, they do not provide any thrust to be counteracted by the conveyer belt - it is the propellers/jet engines that do that, and they are not at all effected by the conveyer. All that is different from a normal take off is that the wheels are moving twice as fast.
