I copied the DXREDIST folder from the image to the installation folder, but when I try to run the game from fallout3.exe I still get an error

This torrent doesn't work !!
I have the same problem as coldstorage, I mount the image, I install the game, then, when I try to start it, there is a message error, saying that Windows doesn't find DXREDIST\DXSETUP.EXE
So well I open the image, and extract the DXREDIST file into the installation file of Fallout 3. When I try to start again, the message error doesn't come up, but instead, another window shows and says "please go to the control panel to install and configure system components".
Then nothing happens, I have read around, and a lot of people have the same problem, a nobody has answered to help.
PS-OS is Windows XP Pro SP3, someone had same prob on SP2

Ok People, problem solved, so for everyone that has the same problem, here is what you've got to do.
1 - Install the game
2 - Put the Folder DXREDIST in the game folder
3 - Install last version of DirectX
4 - Download this crack
5 - Follow instructions given with it, in this case copy/paste + execute the .bat
6 - Play Fallout 3, the first menu is in russian, just click the first option, the game is in english

Well because you did manage to make it work doesn't mean it's flawless. Ok, so I have downloaded many copies of this...Skullputura's etc. I have tried all working cracks and fixes and I have even gotten a very clean install (basically legit install) with mounting RELOADED's ISO in DAEMON tools and I have tried different drives....but still it stops after picking Girl/Boy...registry is fine, game works great up to that point (I am referring to the basic unBethesda patched, torrent versions only).
On the 'clean' install I did the install reported that Menuvoices.bsa, Textures.bsa and Meshes.bsa are "to large" compared to what the install that they should be and further stated "file may be corrupted, contact your software provider"...yeah of course this is gonna happen is someone changed the file size when ripping or editing/cracking, but I think this is what is causing the Boy/Girl hang....something in the sound files or one of those files is not reading out to the game right, so it just stops..it could be an internal bug but EVERY install I have tried that has had the Boy/Girl bug trouble (none have gotten past it for me) has the same file sizes and thereby the same issue.
If Skullputura's latest 'non-ripped' wasn't corrupted I could see the 'non-ripped' file size of those .bsa's and compare. I think the original .bsa files are needed for this and other ISO's of the Eng version to work..then apply crack. I should mention my version of windows is not GA certified at this time because it was compromised sometime ago and I have not gotten it fixed...but I doubt this is the reason the game not working; if the proper install method (running setup exe from a drive) doesn't work and says the files are to big that sounds just like what would throw the game from locating the correct files to use while running...and that the cracks out there right now aren't working around that.
While it may be a bug in Bethesda's code, I rather think it is the ripped/corrupted size of the .bsa's that are the problem.
Anyone know of a work around for this Girl/Boy issue? Someone able to seed a saved gamed right after the vault pretty please ;)?

I set emulation on Daemon to Securom then i mounted the image and ran the setup like i was installing from the disc and every time i play i mount the image again and run the launcher.exe. Then after i click play it will go black and go into "not responding" for about 45sec after that the game starts and goes to the main menu, i've never had any problems with gameplay
