I cannot get it to launch on Windows 7 x32
The game process wont start.

nevermind. I haven't been able to get it working on win 7 x64 either. I actually tried a couple of other releases floating around on the net but they don't work too.

thanks topk, that worked. I can finally launch the game but now it crashes on me once I click new game or options. I am using the standard installer-only version btw. this one is the theta release, which makes my kaspersky scream and I don't really trust this group's releases.

@Topk and @loongear I got the game to work perfectly, but I have Windows XP. Have you tried setting the compatibility to XP SP 2/3, or running it as administrator?

@Pedeadstrian tried that too but still didn't work. I would happily buy this instead of trying so hard just to make it work but I simply does not have the online steam purchase option.

It loaded up just fine for me, but I have so far tried running the game in XP Compatibility mode and it doesn't load sound either regularly or with the XP Service packs... I also tried going into the Start Menu, and typing Dxdiag, to change the "Hardware Sound Acceleration Level" to "No Acceleration" But I have Windows 7 x32 so... Dunno how to do that. Typing in -windowed at the end of the shortcut helped it run in Window mode which was nice. Thanks for the upload though! Works great! (Besides the sound)

Great, so I find out that Windows Vista and 7 users cannot change their Hardware Acceleration... So they have to play without sound. Awesome. Just a tip for anyone else, just give it a try and see if you happen to get sound.

it worked right away with my first laptop (win 7 x64) and after i installd xna 4 on the other laptop, it worked there also (win 7 x64). thanks.
