TIE95.nrg

This torrent is the Tie95 (for windows 95) collectors item CD version but with a few modifications. The .VOC files (voices) are replaced for the much better DOS .VOC files. The music files are replaced for high quality .WAV files (from the original movies) A patch file is added to make the 3D graphics work (instead of your CPU doing the work although it doesn't matter much). This game works fine with Windows XP, probably with Windows 2000 and may work with Vista and Windows 7 although I did not try the last two. The file is an image file from Nero (NRG). Burn it on DVD or mount it with nero, Deamon or an other virtual DVD drive. Have fun!! If you have any comments, shout it out :)

Does this game work without joustick. I have instaled the game and when i press play tie fighter it just pased me to install directx and after instalaion of directx same thing, i press play and he just put me another to install directx???

It is a real struggle to get this working on Windows 7. Google "running Tie fighter on windows 7" and you will find a couple of different patches and fixes you need. I can't remember exactly what I did to get it to work, but it is going now.
The only issue I have is that there is no music during the missions. I get the music during the base scenes and the sound effects work during the missions.
