Hey, can anyone tell me what program they suggest to convert and burn high-res torrents. I can't find one that works, especially with DL dvds

homer_dk (2008-11-13)

To GoodAndy
I'm using convertxtodvd3 it works great also with dl, you can find it here at tpb.

maxkill (2008-11-13)

been waiting for this thankyou AiTB !

pure3d2 (2008-11-13)

karishbhr: the issue is with the aspect ratio.
16:9 HDTVs are 1.7777777.. ratio. Many movies are shot in 2.35 and 1.85 ratios. Not many are 1.7777 (16:9, which takes up the whole screen) The larger the movie, the wider it is, which means you will see black bars. If you had a TV that had a 2.35 aspect ratio, then when you watch a movie that is 2.35 aspect ratio, you will not have black bars.
Do you get it now?

rugburn11 (2008-11-13)

I completely agree ConvertXtoDVD 3 is the Best for these files....here is the Final and Patch...

what do i used to watch this

s0c0m (2008-11-19)

how do I watched movie ?
The KMplayer works for me. Combined Community Codec Pack is also good.

Spironic (2008-11-20)

@FDC_Vicious
Quite trolling. .MKV allows you to put an unlimited number of video, audio, picture or subtitle tracks in a single file. So you have to download a codec, boo fucking hoo.
Thanks for the torrent!

maxkill (2008-11-21)

love the .mkv ;)

Telordya (2008-11-21)

Matroska container (.mkv files) is great! Multiple video, audio, picture and subtitle tracks, all in one single file! It's open source, cross-platform and it tends be universal. So give some respect and download the needed utils (for Windows, Haali Media splitter and ffdshow tryouts are the best).
Have some reading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matroska
For conversion to other format, that's another story. Google about it, there's answers...

ShadowwwLFS (2008-11-21)

Wow thanks, quality is just... best. Excellent for watching on ~40" screens!

kar10 (2008-11-23)

Why are all HD Movies converted to .MKV?????????
Anyone tell me what is this obsession with .MKV file format????????

SubJunk (2008-11-23)

The obsession is that it is the best file format out there as it supports pretty much any codec.

skyspy007 (2008-11-23)

FDC_Vicious is a retard ha ha ha... MKV is the best format when u tend to download hi-res movie from torrents... if u hate it so much buy it for $49.99 blu-ray which was going to be released during december.... u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard, u r retard............

Chricton (2008-11-25)

.mkv is terrific. If you can't figure it out, you shouldn't be downloading movies. It's perfect for converting into .vob that I save to externals and play through my PS3.

stuffievs (2008-11-26)

Okay, just in case, vlc-player, plays it all. No additional codec needed.
www.videolan.org
Great work infamous!!

beatnboxer (2008-11-27)

yess, SEED pleasee!

hot_soup (2008-11-27)

AWESOME! This is the best quality ever! .mkv file is great (media player classic + KLM Codec pack).
Thanks for putting subtitles; very helpful to be included for people who are hard of hearing like myself.
Please don't use RAR!!!!! It takes up twice the space on my hard drive! And takes a long time to decompress! Mostly I don't seed rars but this one is so good I will until my ratio is at least 1.0

dannyecrane (2008-11-27)

The only issue I have with it is that it's only 720p and it's 4gb. There's another torrent floating around that's 1080 and it's 8gb. I'd rather go with the better quality if I'm going to spend a phenominal amount of time downloading this.

panthar (2008-11-27)

i give this torrent a 10/10.
decent size and great a/v quality.
i'll help seed for a few weeks. upping ~100kbps

panthar (2008-11-27)

get this torrent the 1080 sucks, audio is offset, and video at times acts like a scratched dvd.

dannyecrane (2008-11-27)

@panthar,
Is your computer capable of playing such a high quality video? There are quite a few requirements for the system specs in order to play it in 1080. What you're describing may just be a system that is just barely too weak.

coopaloop11 (2008-11-27)

Okay I'm really confused, I can't get this to play. There are 95 inf-walle.r files, 47.6mb each. I don't understand how to get these into a format that is playable. I understand you have to decompress the files, but I don't know how.
the sample plays perfectly in VLC, now I want the freaking movie!

coopaloop11 (2008-11-27)

Okay, I figured out how to decompress them all into one file, but now, none of my video players will play it smoothly. I am 95% sure my system is capapble of handling it, it plays other hd movies without a hitch.
.mkv is a pain in the ass

therm0911 (2008-11-28)

MKV's are the next best thing! My 1.7ghz laptop can play these without going choppy you just need to configure your codec or get the right one.

Trance183 (2008-11-29)

I almost shit my pants when I saw this thing on my new 37inch HDTV. This is really beautiful. Great rip AiTB. And to you bastards who download and don't rate the quality +1 its a shame. And those who rate it -1...go fuck yourself. Great upload buddy. Thanks.

-CerealKiller- (2008-11-30)

Not sure how many of you do know, but CoreAVC is a very efficient codec (for windows sadly) that allowed me to run these 720mkv's (H264) on a P4, whereas I couldnt before. Wish somebody had told me before, and no, I dont work for them. I just thought that perhaps somebody might find it useful.

AntiJuw (2008-11-30)

MKV-container is great for HD-video. AVI-container has (among other things) limited B-frame support for h264, so AVI sucks for h264-video.

dannyecrane (2008-12-01)

For those of you who are confused on if your computer can handle the requirements of 1080/720 HD video-
These specs are from Microsoft's Windows Media HD page
(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/content_provider/film/ChoosingPC.aspx):

Minimum Configuration
(to play 720p video)
Windows XP
Windows Media Player 9 Series
2.4 GHz processor or equivalent
384 MB of RAM
64 MB video card
DVD drive
1024 x 768 screen resolution
16-bit sound card
Speakers
Optimum Configuration
(to play 1080p video with 5.1 surround sound)
Windows XP
Windows Media Player 9 Series
DirectX 9.0
3.0 GHz processor or equivalent
512 MB of RAM
128 MB video card
DVD drive
1920 x 1440 screen resolution
24-bit 96 kHz multichannel sound card
5.1 surround sound speaker system
While some may also say that VLC is a better player for the .mkv file formats, I disagree (mainly with 1080). If you check the screenshots I have here, you'll see why. Not to mention, I think it's safe to say that my current hardware setup is above standard.

I hope this helps some of you understand the extreme demand of 1080 decoding.

wacomania (2008-12-01)

Stop whining about .MKVs it's a great container. If you wanna watch it through a ps3 or 360 then download GOTsent, convert it to an hd .mp4, then stream it over using tversity. stop bitching and learn to work with shit.

SuicidePenguin (2008-12-02)

Besides the leechers, I love this torrent and Wall-E is my fav.!!

SuicidePenguin (2008-12-02)

.mkv file converter issues, if you are using an nVidia geforce graphics card look into TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress... that's all I gotta say but you have to have a nVidia card to run it right

dwood1 (2008-12-03)

Can someone help.
I am somewhat of a newbee but would appreciate some advice.
I downloaded the Codec CoreAVC Proffesional addition and the picture quality is outstanding. However I am unable to get any audio. This is my first try at mkv file and I am having touble w/ this. Please help if you can. Thanks

dwood1 (2008-12-03)

I had no problems converting Rar by the way.
And the vidoe is flawless, just no sound. Any better codecs I should look at or something. I am using windows media player.

joegibb83 (2008-12-05)

@Dingleberry:
The xbox360 does not handle x264/MKV files. You would have to convert it to DivX/XviD (.avi) or WMV; then it would show up. Also; burning this file straight to a DVD will not make a playable DVD.
@aroll:
2.4Ghz HT is not dual core; its single core with HyperThreading; Probably a NorthWood core from around Mid 03-early 04. Hyperthreading is not a second core; its 2 execution paths that show up as a second core/CPU in windows. It is not fast enough to play 720p content at the bitrates used for BluRay with acceptable performance without some form of hardware acceleration.

auburnu008 (2008-12-05)

You guys using MKV2VOB and burning to a DVD5, how are you getting the file under the 4.37 limit to use 1 DVD5? I do not want to have to use a DL DVD. Is it possible? Thanks.

7808 (2008-12-05)

how did you make them all one file?

auburnu008 (2008-12-05)

I am using winrar to make them 1 mkv file

w000ter (2008-12-07)

convert to dvd loses all "hd" quality.
but it does work.
as for min spec. not much is required to playback 720p at this bitrate. a decent p4 should cut it as long as you have a decent codec pack or coreavc installed. its been years now since a pc couldn't playback such video assuming its configured correctly.

vridd (2008-12-08)

Hi there! I just downloaded the sample and had great hopes of watching the movie, but when i opened the sample in the latest VLC, Vlc stopped working, i've downloaded the CCCP pack and tried different media players, this problem has occoured both on my work and home computer. and both of them highly eligable to watch normal high definition. can anyone pinpoint me to the right direction, it may be something i've been missing out. some codec, or something

vridd (2008-12-08)

On another note, what do you guys use to play this file? Any particular codes, anything?

tokaboy (2008-12-09)

buy a Netgear EVA8000 and then watch this stuff on your TV in HD.
VLC players ok but hunching over a PC....
So last year!

vridd (2008-12-09)

Oh! Damn ofc,
What should i do then to be able to watch it on a pc?

vridd (2008-12-09)

It worked after all, i deleted the torrent and data and downloaded again, what a mess, i was twitching my head looking for a solution
Latest VLC Player no codecs added

bl8ant (2008-12-11)

oh no, really? i downloaded all 4.5Gb of this, and it's got built-in subtitles? shouldn't you have told us that? i mean, i appreciate it, it looks and sounds amazing, 10/10, but my english is fine. me no want subtitles. guess i should have looked closer at your more info first.

bl8ant (2008-12-11)

oh man am i an idiot. NEVERMIND the built-in subtitles comment. i thought i was unable to turn them off, and i was wrong!
10/10!!!

haha hunching over your pc???? my pc is running through a 64" hd plasma ... does vlc play hd movie?

vista123 (2008-12-18)

I'm trying to figure out how to rip a blu-ray. I have used AnyDVDHD to remove the copy protection, and I have ripped it as an iso and just the folders on he blu-ray to my hard drive. What program is used next? I like using the mkv container, but I don't know how to convert.
Thanks

beatnboxer (2008-12-22)

okay i'm sorry, i'm really inexperienced at this hd stuff.
but can someone give a step-by-step instructions on what to do after finished downloading the torrent? >.

flyawaybby (2008-12-23)

lol, first of all you need a BLURAY player.
Why do you think the torrent's called
"WALL-E.720p.BluRay.x264-iNFAMOUS " <

ozc (2008-12-24)

You people are stupid. These types of movies are ripped from a bluray disk at near bluray quality. (They're NOT ENCRYPTED BLURAY ANYMORE.) VLC is a crappy player for amateur computer users. Get 'Media Player Classic' (free) and 'CoreAVC' (not free) because its the fasted decoder to handle these file sizes. (no your 1.7ghz p4 wont handle them either way.)
For MPC also get CCCP (dont install haili) and Real Alternative & Quick Alternative. Then you'll be all set with MPC, the most bloat free media player.

sunaadh (2008-12-27)

http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_mega_codec/

This should work for those with lower end PC's.
Otherwise try Core AVC
http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/4452152/Core_AVC_Professional_Edition_v1.8.5.0-EDGE

If you can buy it ^^, please do. Tis a wonderful product.

Lexiconic (2008-12-30)

zax808: You've most likely formatted your external HDD in FAT32.. There's no way to store files over 4 gigabytes in FAT32. (unless you make it become something that's mostly FAT32, but a little different.)
One way or another, you will most likely have to reformat the disk. Unless you use linux primarily (actually pretty great for watching movies on..), you'll want to format the disk in NTFS.
This will show you how to convert FAT32 to NTFS, no data loss.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb456984.aspx

If you do use linux primarily, go with ext3. It's a very nice filesystem. No defragging necessary.
(in certain instances, ext3 can be made to work with windows too, but windows is a pain about it.)

bigporch (2009-01-16)

If anyone is having trouble downloading or using a torrent go to howtodownloadatorrent.com Most of the information there is useful!! GL!

Lexiconic (2009-02-04)

Dude, no it's not. VLC sucks.

taxman_42 (2009-02-24)

No media players will play the MKV format, not even DivX, even though Wikipedia claims it will.

bebop3 (2009-02-25)
