Hi There, This is the Perfect flight L1011 including the bonus textures. 1. Extract the L1011-setup basepack (which includes a few liveries) to a folder of your choice. 2.click the set-up exe and follow the instructions, making sure you install into the main FSX folder, where ever that is on your computer. 3. Once installed the basepack that is go to the freetextureset folder and do the same as above, I think there are about 90 texture sets all up and they look great. Notes THis model is one of the best FDEs around, flies like the real thing, a heavie! The downside is the Taxi part, getting the thing to the take-off runway. Put simply, its a bastard to taxi without cutting the grass a few times along the way. Having said that it can be mastered, HINT not much throttle and lots of rudder movements to steer the thing on the ground, and slow down to turn but don't stop when in a turn!!!!! goes great in a straight line, if you can get it lined up....LOL If you like it, buy it thats what I did, thanks to TPB! Works fine, just installs to the wrong directory, just move to correct one NP!!

Yep, it will most likely work. But it is not a TRUE FSX airplane. It is a modified FS9 so that it will work in FSX.
True FSX have self shadowing, bump maps, they run faster and smoother.
There is no fix unless the maker totally redesigns the mdl file with the correct program.

Yes you are right this bird is not fully FSX compatible, but it flies well, the sounds are great and compared to many so called FSX only aircraft, this L1011 beats them!
What I have learned is DX10 is not worth running even though my video card is fully compatable, DX 9c makes crossover aircraft versions like this L1011 fly much happier. For the frame-rate junkies it not worth the upgrade to DX10 yet! Thanks for the good comment though chatized.
