According to the readme it said to install then enter the provided serial; however, it never prompted for the serial and there is no enter serial option. Any suggestions?

Go to Help -> About Crystal -> Unlock and then paste that serial into there, it will tell you to Restart it. Do it and go back to Help -> About Crystal and it should say license info near top left corner of that splash screen.
