SPECIAL NOTICE!
Once you download all of these files and run the .exe it tries to download the whole thing from another site. You must repack the damn thing using a program called "HJSplit". Seriously, that could have been explained in the description. Wondering how many people downloaded this and then wasted their time and bandwidth downloading it again.

Using hjsplit won't do anything.
Files 003 and 004 are incomplete, that's why it's downloading them again.

Hi mates... I just downloaded the 003 and 004 part because as I tell you, those parts from this torrent are incomplete. Nevertheless, I just ran the exe file and it did not try to connect to internet.
Finally, I copied the files in the crack folder to the installation directory and managed to play it for a while.
Now my problem is hardware. I stopped playing until getting a new video card. LOL.

guys the reason why the game won't run form the icon that it places on the desktop is because you need to click the direct x 10 or 9 icon in the assassins creed folder its self then the game will load thats what i did and it worked

I think there is a problem with this torrent unless I'm missing something and someone more savvy can point me in the correct direction - although I have considerable experience dealing with torrent, even difficult ones.
Some people have claimed it is infected with a virus although my anti-virus (Kaspersky 2011) hasn't complained.
The problem I have is that I always get this message when attempting to run the 'AssassinsCreed.exe.':

Finished the whole game.
Run down of what I thought of over all game and torrent.
Downloaded fast enough for me not to complain (Then again I don't watch my downloads I go and smoke for a few hours and come back and check on them)
Game was good other then the bug when if you alt + tab the game goes into windowed mode and only way to put into full screen is to restart.
No difficulty setting so makes the game hard and much longer to beat. At one point it was so hard I had to get a trainer (Sort of cheats) to beat one part. If you play this game I highly recommend you get Assassins Creed II because this game leaves you with a cliffhanger. Over all game 8/10 (Don't like how you have to kill the same guys the same way almost over and over again)

This seem to be the most downloaded Assassins creed (1) torrent there is, yet the installer doesn't work?
Appearently the torrent is having 2 incomplete files (AssassinsCreed.Data.003 and 004) and it would appear that the installer is able to self-update, but it would seem that the target host no longer hosts these files, resulting in uncomplete upload. A shame really =[
Oh, and appearently all the mirrors to the following files are dead too.
