Nine Inch Nails is an American industrial rock band formed in 1988 by Trent Reznor. Nine Inch Nails has released eight major studio releases, as well as numerous remix albums, singles with extensive b-sides, music videos, and tour documentaries. Nine Inch Nails has also contributed to numerous film soundtracks as well as the soundtrack to the video-game Quake.[1] The majority of Nine Inch Nails releases are labeled with "Halo numbers", a sequential numbering system that applies to most official Nine Inch Nails releases. Initial ambitions for Nine Inch Nails in 1988 were to release one 12-inch single on a small European label.[2] With the addition of future singles "Head Like a Hole" and "Sin", many of these demo tracks would later appear in revised form on Pretty Hate Machine in 1989, co-produced by Adrian Sherwood and Mark "Flood" Ellis. In response to pressures from TVT Records for a follow-up to Nine Inch Nails' commercially successful debut, Reznor began recording the Broken extended play in secret–the EP was released in 1992.[3] Nine Inch Nails' second full-length album, The Downward Spiral, entered the Billboard 200 in 1994 at #2,[4] and remains the highest-selling Nine Inch Nails release in the United States.[5] Five years elapsed before Nine Inch Nails' next major album, The Fragile, a double album that debuted in September 1999 at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 228,000 copies in its first week.[1] Another six years elapsed before Nine Inch Nails' next full-length album, With Teeth, which also debuted at the top of the Billboard 200.[6] In 2007, the band released Year Zero alongside an accompanying alternate reality game.[7] Reznor announced in late 2007 that Nine Inch Nails had fulfilled its contractual obligations with Interscope Records, and would distribute its next major album independently. The last Interscope release from Nine Inch Nails was a remix album based on material from Year Zero.[8] The first Nine Inch Nails album released independently was the instrumental Ghosts I–IV in 2008, followed two months later by The Slip. Halo numbers Halo numbers are a system by which official Nine Inch Nails releases are chonologically ordered. They correspond to the sequence in which the releases were made, and are named by the word "Halo", which precedes the number on the release. For example, the fifth Nine Inch Nails release, Broken, is identified with the phrase "Halo Five". Halo numbers are sometimes modified for alternate versions of a release, such as the multiple releases of The Downward Spiral. Promotional-only releases do not have their own Halo numbers, although the promotional singles for "Piggy" and "Hurt" were both labeled as "Halo Ten," a title later officially used for Further Down the Spiral. A U.S. promo for "Into the Void" is mislabeled as Halo 16 because this number actually belongs to the Things Falling Apart remix album. I apologize for the bit rate. It was the best I could do. I just figured it would be easier to get all the songs from one torrent versus looking around for bits and pieces.

I see all these comments about: 'awful bitrates' and the like... But does it really make a difference? I mean, when you listen to it on the pc, do you really hear the difference a song in low bitrate vs one in high bitrate? For as far as I know, higher bitrates only tend to take up space on your drive...

I'm no audiophile by any means but the bass and percussion are usually louder and harder with higher bitrates. I only tend to notice the difference on my layman's speakers if I play a 128 and a 320 of the same song back to back, and the difference is only slight and pretty much only applies to music released in the last 15 or 20 years.

If you really can't tell the difference between a CD and a 160kbps mp3 file, then you have no ears. The cymbal hits sound like shit, any time the EQ is peaked there's a ton of artifacts, and the overall quality is more muffled and indistinct than a higher bitrate.
192kbps is the "peak" of quality, above which you can't especially tell the difference between an mp3 and a CD. But, in any case, there's no reason to ever encode below ~192kbps VBR. There are tons of free programs that can do it.
I mean, if this is all you can get, go for it. But the sound quality, even through my really old speakers, sucks. Like I said, if you really can't tell the difference, then you have to be partially deaf.

Man, by "discography" you mean EVERYTHING lol I forgot just how many singles there were.
Two things about the quality: I personally don't care about it, but NIN really is one of those bands that is just.... digital. It can easily sound like shit depending on your setup. You could listne to it on headphones and then hook it up to the speakers in your car and it sounds completely different. So I could understand why someone might bitch. But NIN is an exception, generally you can't tell the difference unless lol "you're a cat."
The other thing, elitists on this site will never be happy. It's the same with people bitching about DVDrips and claiming "it's crap, get the HD BRIP" These people generally don't understand that the majority of people use this site because they don't have the money for expensive setups and computers. Lesser file types are for nomral people with old computers. I don't even know anyone IRL who can play BR rips. It's a waste of time to reason with them. They live in a fantasy world where everyone owns the pinnacle of technology. Not liking a file is one thing, but don't tell people it's crap because *you* are a snob.

I understand everyone's points. But 320 or V0 rip is a massively superior to 128/160. This music is great, it just sucks to have the noticeable high ends cut off.
If it's a matter of conserving hard drive space. This torrent is almost 3 gigs! whats one or two more? A 300-500GB hard drive has been the standard in PCs for the past 5 years.
And people are kind of upset cos this is the only NIN discography in MP3 here.
This easily could have been definitive. Appreciate your effort. But we gotta let people know.

i agree that the difference is very noticeable sometimes and not even on state of the art equipment. I will delete this right away when I get a better copy.
But seriously what's with the insults or saying that the uploader wasted his time uploading it, he should have done so and so because it only takes a tiny bit more effort. I hope he doesn't care about what these crybabies have to say, he shouldn't. The whole "no excuse for uploading smaller sized files anymore" is utter bullshit too. People still burn mp3 cd's, have small old mp3 players or phones with little space, hoard years of music, and really do not mind the difference in quality.
If any would like to prove me wrong in saying they're selfish hypocritical twats who will NOT reinforce their point by even attempting to upload any better be my guest, everyone benefits.
