My AVG also reports a trojan in the F1Delux2009.exe
I have then checked the file by sending it to virustotal, and 20 of 39 antivirus scanners detects a virus (including Avast, AVG, eSafe, F-secure, Kaspersky, NOD32 and Panda). Most of them reports the nasty BUZUS-virus to be in the file.
I am not saying there is a virus, but the file is too suspicious for me to try and run.

alternatively go to the delux2009\#TPTB# folder
extract the rar archive to the main folder , now there should be 2 new exe files, one is called
F1Delux2009.exe and F1-Launcher.exe
now double click F1-Launcher.exe and start game from desktop icon (config!!!) this is important to have the game detecting your hardware for best performance etc. and btw.
i have made 1 exe out of the above mentioned 2 exe files, this is why your virustools are detecting some bullshit... but as usual its a false positive... cheers hope that has wrapped some things up here...

Hey is anyone else having a problem. The game itself loads and I can play it, but when in the main menu, and I click the buttons to go to various parts eg. options, difficulty, and what ever, it leaves the buttons there, but they then become inactive and stay visible on the screen when they should not. I dont know if anyone else is getting this. Also when I play the game, the sound is not great, the quality is just not what it should be. I have played all previous versions of F1 championship and they all really good, but this just does not make it for me, unless it was a a bad download. I love the work TPTB does, and have loved all game sin the past, but this either needs help or I have done something wrong.

Cant play it, it crashes all the time in the menu and if I rush through it all, just to try and start a new game, I click the Load Circuit and then it crashes.

damn iam sorry for that, but a question, in which folder do you have it?... what i wanna say is make sure not to use long path name, such as documents/.../.../.../..../delux2009
this doesnt work well, move the delux2009 folder to a short path like c:games or only c: or d: or what-so-ever as long as the path name is short!, worth a try, believe me, and did you do the config analyzing your hardware before?... damn ill hate seeing peeps cant play these games... ;)

Run in 98/ME mod.(Running in XP mode won't work)
Run as Administrator.

this doesnt contains any virus, go to the tptb folder and exctract the rar file, copy both files included to your game dir, and that it, one is the intro and the other one is the game exe , i have crunched them into one part, thats why some lame virus tools are giving a false positive, and to proof that, i have included the unpacked files into a rar file, go figure lameheads, before moaning around about thing you dont have the slightest clue about!.

Window 7 64bit(Working) I just copyed the file Delux 2009.exe.bak from the #TPTB# folder then I renamed it to Delux 2009.exe then right click on the Delux 2009.exe come down to properties and click.
