There are 4 seeders online but no seeding. There are several peers (leechers) that are not sharing at all...only downloading.
Please check your SEED settings. If you have it set (default on BitTorrent and UTorrent) to only seed to 150% then you are not really seeding any longer.
I have downloaded only 10% of this file, but my upload ratio is already close to 3 to 1 (2.833)
When I find a movie I really want to seed past 150%, there are some changes that I make on all my downloaded torrents or on specific ones
This is a GREAT classic film and have not seen it in many years. I am no longer in a country where it is easy to purchase quality DVDs. This one is particularly difficult to find in a store.

Under the "Queueing" Section of Preferences in BitTorrent and Utorrent, there are several settings.
First...is the number of active torrents (upload and download). To seed, need to have more of these than the active downloads. If you are downloading 5 torrents currently and your number of upload and download torrrents is also 5, then you are not seeding.
Second is the Seed Ratio. Default is 150%. Once you have seeded 150% of the torrent, then your seeding is completed and finished
UNLESS
You check the next section which is "When BitTorrent reaches the seeding goal" If this is not checked your seeding is finished. If you check the box, then seeding will continue. You can choose what rate (0 is unlimited) that you continue to seed.
One confusing thing I have noticed about these torrent clients is that they are not consistent in how they express ratios. In the seeding area they use an percentage. In other areas they are expressed as a decimal where 1.000 is 100% like in your upload to download ratio when you are downloading (leeching).
And the term "leeching" is a BAD word to use considering what is really going on in peer to peer sharing. Many people think it is a bad thing, but it is not. It is necessary. It's just a poor choice of words. A more accurate term is "peer" or "downloaders".
Only one person needs to have the entire file and be a seeder. And the first person to upload a file is the "initial seeder". Until another person downloads the entire file, then you have another seeder.
I get a kick out of some of the experienced torrent users, many of them don't understand what is really going on . They bitch and complain when a file comes out and has thousands of "leechers" but only 1 seeder. Well, that is what happens when a file is FIRST release folks. There is no way around it. Those with the fastest connections to the ENTIRE internet usually get the file first.
Those in close geographical proximity (less network hops to the source) will get a faster connection then those of us who have 15 to 30 network hops to make. Many ISPs (Internet Service Providers) like mine, control or throttle bandwidth to each user during certain times of the day. Example: from 8AM to Midnight my connection speed is only 5% of what it should be. Other ISPs even shut down network port ranges especially ports 6881 to 6889...those ports are registered BitTorrent ports.
There are so many things that can affect your download speed as well as your upload speed.

Maybe you should be a little nicer and perhaps more understanding. When I first started this peer to peer sharing of files, I did not understand HOW to seed.
Rather than chastising, why didn't you try to HELP? Perhaps it is because you don't really understand the technology of computer networking and especially peer to peer sharing?
I certainly do not have the disk space to seed every torrent (forever) that I have downloaded . Nor would I have the network bandwidth.
This is a GREAT movie, and I hope I can get it all. If I do, I will SEED it 20 times over (that is 2000 percent) such that 20 other people can get it. Right now, it is not looking to good. But I am patient and will continue to keep this online downloading for a month. If after a month I don't get it...I will delete it and try to find it somewhere else.

Thanks so much for putting this up. This is such a Classic! I do wish some more people would Seed! It says I have a year to go at 39%. I'm hoping for less. :) I will definitely seed for awhile. Thx.
