Well redlinerjetta you can get the other one, but you will be disappointed as there was about 30 minutes of Imax scenes, which with this release will show up as 1280 by 720 (fullscreen), the other releases crop the image so for those 30 minutes you lose a good portion of the picture.

Yeah, you're totally missing the point. For the blu-ray, the IMAX scenes are in the 1.8 AR; the rest of the movie is 2.35. Nothing here has been cropped; everything is the way it's supposed to be.

La solucion es muy simple, solo reproduzcanlo con el VLC player y en el menú video/aspect ratio/ den click en la opcion 2:21:1 y voilá, la relacion de aspecto es perfecta. Hize una traduccion al inglés pero si alguien puede traducirlo mejor adelante. Saludos.

Big MKV files not playing well? Do the following.
1. Get a good computer (1.7ghz bad, 3ghz good)
2. Remove all third party players and codecs.
3. Get Media Player Classic (aka MPC)
4. Get CoreAVC (fastest H.264 decoder)
5. Try playing movie
Additional video support:
6. Get CCCP (don't install players or Haali splitter etc)
6a. After installing CCCP if the mkv plays crappy again then you installed to much.
7. Get Quick alternative (Quicktime replacement.)
8. Get Real alternative (Realone replacement.)
10. Now you should be all set. Be sure to associate all video clips with MPC.
