You have to mount it in daemon tools and then place the .exe in the program files. You cant play it without daemon tools. Daemon tools makes a virtual drive and makes your computer think you have the disc when you really dont.

Yep, can't get it to work. I tried burning it onto a disc, installing missing DLLs, etc. I still get the same error. The DLL's I was missing for the crack didn't help, either, because I'm apparently missing "the procedure entry point _BinkSetSoundTrack@8" in the "dynamic link library binkw32.dll".
I've gotten pirated games to work before, so I think I'm doing everything right. I might have messed something up, I don't know. I think there's an iso mounting problem, though, because when I had it mounted with Daemon, it said I needed to insert the DVD-ROM.

Just mount the iso. Install evertything, copy the crack, and past it in program files>ubisoft>assassins creed, and choose to replace everything.

Ok here is a sterp by step tutorial on how to get this working.
1. download it
2. open the .iso file with Win rar and copy the folder named crack to your desktop.
3.mount the game with Magic Disc and install.
4. go to :C/Program files/Ubisoft/Assassins Creed and replase the tho files in the crack folder with the originals.
5. start the game and play! :p

Anyway, about this copy, I'm experiencing lags even if the graphics are already set to low. My graphics and video card were able to play AC2 quite well with the highest quality available, so I'm not quite sure why my AC1 is lagging. For those getting the DVD/Disc error:
You have to have Daemon tools (Virtual clone drive) to mount the iso.
Also, when you open the iso file in winrar, you have to EXTRACT the crack folder or files to the desktop. THEN copy the files over to the download location. If you simply copy the crack files over it won't work; you have to extract.

@marunekaite, i'm experiencing lags too, i'm runnin' it on win7 x64, and it works on high graphics but sometimes (during the dialogs) it's lagging.i play Assassin's Creed : Revelations on max graphics, works perfectly, but AC1 is lagging.It's like:game runs, during dialog - freeze (about 5-10 secs, sounds can be heard) unfreeze - run again. wtf ? O.o

Ok, here is the most SIMPLEST STEP BY STEP instruction to install the game.
1. Download the torrent.
2. Download and install something called "Daemon Tools Pro" if you don't have it already (you can use trial for 14 days if you don't want to pay.)
3. After you've installed Daemon Tools Pro, Open it and click "Add DT Virtual Drive". (This will add a new virtual drive like a DVD drive and enable you to mount the image.)
4. Now, RIGHT Click on the Virtual Drive you just created and select the first option "Mount" or Press CTRL+M.
5. Select the image you've downloaded via this torrent (rld-acrr.iso)
6. After you've successfully mounted the image, Autoplay will give you 2 options, Run the autorun.exe or Open Folder to View Files, Click Run autorun.exe ORR if for some mysterious reason it doesn't appear then go to My Computer and you should see a drive called BD ROM Drive (X:) ASSASSINS CREED, open it and inside the drive you'll find an icon labelled setup, double click and run it.
7. After its finished installing, double click the image you downloaded (make sure you have WINRAR or other software to extract the image) rld-acrr.iso, and extract the folder called Crack.
*8*. After that go inside the Crack folder then copy those 2 files to C:\Program Files \Ubisoft\Assassin's Creed.
9. If you've followed the instructions it should work , so autorun again OR go inside the drive and double click autorun and this time when the splash screen appears click Play and ENJOY!!!!!
For me after I clicked play it asked me to insert the CD and turns out the crack didnt work which was with this image therefore here's the solution. Thanks to "marunekaite" - go to this link and download this crack instead , and just follow step 8 again.
Hope this helps newbies and if you still cant get it, just go buy the damn game and play from the actual DVD :)

This is really frustrating. I keep starting from step 5 because all the lower steps are done and would be pointless to undo. I keep getting the Pleas insert DVD-ROM bs.
Every time I torrent a new game I use the same drive, the drive that was made when I installed demon tools and the new game always takes over the drive but all the other games still work as they did before, would this be different with AC?

@thoufu75 graphics don't sucks at all -> but your graphics config sucks for sure... just get a better graphics card at least and shut up.... I'm using a GeForce 9500GT and the game works perfectly. HAssholez.

Thanks! Works great :) Only problems I've run into are slight audio quality glitches (Most audio is fine, but eagle eye makes me speakers cackle horribly) and at the beginning of the game, with the tutorials, there are no faces on the people inside the animus. Not sure if this is part of the game or what, but yeah. After the tutorial everything goes well. Thanks again, good job. Will be seeding for a long time. x
