I saw this movie as a 9 year old kid when it first came out... don't know what it was, but it gave me nightmares up into my 20's!!!

There were only 3 movies that caused me to have nightmares as a child. The first was "Jaws", the second was the remake of "The Thing" with Kurt Russell, and the third was this movie "Prophecy". I don't really remember what it was about this movie that so scared the shit out of an eight year old. But maybe watching it again after all these years will refresh the little grey cells. This is sad to admit, but this is also one of the few movies that truly scared me as a kid also. I saw it as a dbl feature at the drive in with the original Friday the 13th. I was embarrassed as hell I had to sleep with the parents that night. It's probably awful. I can only remember an arm coming through a wall...but in a cave or hole or something?
