What rar files help is if for some reason your download becomes corrupted when dling an AVI the entire file needs to be redownloaded whereas if the corruption occurred in one rar file then only the rar file needs to be dled. 15Mb rar is easier and quicker than say the 349mb this file is in its complete state.

I don't know what player you use IceHappy, but there is no need to download the entire avi file if it's slightly corrupted.
VLC player plays it fine anyways, and I hate to have to unrar and delete a file every time I want to watch something. Also avi files don't compress. Actually often the rar file is bigger.
RAR releases is obsolete.
So when "standard procedures" sucks, drop it HouseOfWax.
