@strikeaholic that's because you probably don't have a media player with the FLAC codec installed. Also, the reason they're large is because FLAC is a lossless codec (it stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec). Basically, the files are CD quality, and have bitrates that can be up in the thousands.

For anyone trying to convert these to ALAC or MP3 for iTunes. Using Max you need to go File>Convert Files NOT File>Open Files, otherwise you get the no embedded flac error.
