stritte download 'k-lite codec' pack full and watch these mkv files in the classic media player. It doesnt lagg at all for me now I have also core 2 duo. dl latest graphics also.. cheers again for this!

I know mine was, but i used som regfix, which made my laptop alot faster.. I also installed some anti-spyware/virus programs.. Now everything is just as new! :D
I have core2duo 2ghz, 2gbram, gf7900gs and vista.. i use VLC mediaplayer, works everytime :)

VLC is not the best choice for HD, I have a nice comp with a full HD screen and it lagged alot with VLC. 720p worked with VLC but was even better with the new one i found. 1080p dident work at all :D I looked around a little and found CCCP=Combined Comunity Codec Pack. I tried it out and all full HD movies ran really smooth. just google CCCP and its the one at the top.
after you install you will have two players: Zoom Player and Media Player Classic
I recommend to run everything in Media Player Classic
