It requires you to connect to the internet and validate the software no matter what. It doesn't matter if you disable your internet connection or block it with a firewall; if it never validates the software online it won't work. So this doesn't work...

Yes, the trial version has to be activated, that's no problem as it's free. Your given 20 days free.
Generic Trial Starter 1.01 is supposed to trick the program into thinking that the date hasn't changed and allow you to use it forever. I haven't gotten it to work myself, but many have commented that it worked on a private tracker.
I uploaded this because the version originally uploaded here on TPB was infected with a virus and was modified from "the scene" release.
If anyone can get it to work please tell everyone how.
