IDK why but my Explorer crashes when i go to the folder with the .avi files in it, all of the video players crash when I try to open any of those files...wtf?

Ive had that problem before. It was a corrupted divx codec in my case try installing a newer codec. If you dont want to deal with the official one google for klm codec pack. Hope this helps

nvm, i went the dumbass way and deleted the whole folder. Why does the folder crash tho?
free-codecs.com is the place I usually get my codecs...
