The of accusations Obama's use of NLP techniques are something that need to be looked at more closely. I thought there was something familiar about the timing and use of his speech but could never put my finger on it. If any of you guys have ever heard Tony Robbins speak, reflect on that the next time you hear Obama speak.
These are techniques employed by people who manipulate large numbers of people, such as Robbins and the slimebag, Ross Jefferies.
Rush mentioned that it is a technology that was created my Milton Erickson but it is actually based not only on the work of Erickson, who was one of the world's most effective hypnotists but also on the "transformational" vocabulary of Noam Chomsky, Gestalt therapy and computer science.
It was put together by two other men who never saw the success that people like Tony Robbins, who essentially repacked the technology as what he calls Neuro Asoociative Conditioning.
One of the men, Richard Bandler, was a coke head and charged (but acquitted) with murder and there is skepticism over his innocence.
Videos I have seen of the use of this technology are frightening. It is used on groups of people such as on stadium crowds and on infomercials or one on one interactions such as therapy, seduction and sales. It's original use was primarily for self improvement and therapeutic self programing.
The assertions of the more educated and young being particularly vulnerable to this sort of manipulation is something I have found asserted within NLP literature itself years ago.
