I know, I know... but it's the only dvd of this film existing us much as I know :(
it also is not the famous missing director's cut which Mackendrick prepared but has never been found...
Mackendrick is one of the great forgotten names of the Hollywood golden era. In this movie you can see a lot which is modern and against the hollywood rules, there are hints of sexuality, also with the children, there is true english spoken and not the traditional spanenglish... The movie was indeed mostly shot inside the ship and a lot more.
The best actor is the girl. Amazing performance.
