Do not attempt to adjust the picture. resolution of this series is 560x416 Similar in style to The Twilight Zone with more science fiction than fantasy stories, The Outer Limits is an anthology of distinct story episodes, sometimes with a plot twist at the end. Unlike the original incarnation of the series, which was a pure anthology with each episode completely unrelated to the others, the revival series maintained an anthology format, but occasionally featured recurring story elements that were often tied together during season-finale clip shows.

Not true, quual. If you check Amazon you'll see that the DVD sets are also censored. But it's light censoring because the Showtime originals had very little adult content in them.

The problem is that after Season 1 they decided not to produce any DVDs from the episodes that aired on Showtime, hence the censored episodes that were aired on broadcast TV.
