im new to the mac game, i have a macbook and honestly have zero idea as to whether or not its an intel mac?

@TheMysteryMeat: You have an Intel Mac. Macbooks and Macbook Pros have Intel. Powerbooks and iBooks don't.
You can easily see if you have a Mac by clicking the Apple in the upper left corner of the desktop window. Then you click on "About This Mac". In the processor bar you see what kind you have.
