The image file is 700MB yet the actual files inside amount to less than 300MB -- that's pretty gay. This needs to be converted into an ISO. Is this extra 400MB file size some stupid Alcohol 120% thing?

GlycerinZ, the extra space is occupied by the (excellent, IMHO) audio tracks. Back in the days before MP3 and OGG, game discs were often Mixed Mode (Data+Audio). ISOs can only contain a single data session, so you'll have to use something like MDF/MDX/NRG to preserve the raw audio tracks.
