This torrent is for the 4th Fallout 3 DLC, Point Lookout, taking place in the Fallout universe's equivalent of Point Lookout National Park in Maryland. This is the English version of the DLC. It seems that 1.6 is unnecessary. Installation directory: C:Program FilesFallout 3Data It appears that there is an issue between Mart's Mutant Mod and the entrance to the Sacred Bog. If you intend to play beyond that point, I suggest temporarily disabling Mart's Mutant Mod and its .esp mods.

No it's better to follow the normal way to just extract the .bsa files and pasting them in the Fallout 3 folders.

Size isn't usually a problem as it is compressed, I'm sure like previous DLCs, it will become 600-700mb after extraction. All the DLCs were this size in compressed form

Why for the patch acceptius? In the release notes it only updates for Achievements thats all. Also for the people who want to download the Torrent version of the patch why? The speed from Fallout website is fast and has two other mirrors.

I was about to play it right now but I'm tired. I went in game and prepared myself for the journey to Maryland. I got the radio signal and went to the river bank and saw the boat! Then I just saved it and quit. I know it works 100% I see the boat.

Well guys, I'm back. Apparently you MAY need 1.6 It'll work up until the Sacred Bog for me, and then I get a crash. And I can't use 1.6, due to using FOSE. :/

Ah, turns out that 1.6 isn't necessary. Apparently, there is a conflict (as in, crash causing) with Mart's Mutant Mod. If you use Mart's Mutant Mod, you will crash at the entrance to the Sacred Bog. So temporarily disable it.

K, I extracted the files to bethesda softworks/fallout3/data, and I unpacked the BSA's to the same place, but when I get to the ferryboat it's just a bunch of white exclamation points in red squares or something...
I must've done something wrong, plz help a n00b...

I moved from the ZIP but it didn't show up in the 'Data Files' thing in the launcher so I unpacked the BSA's using Fallout Mod Manager but that didn't help either so I just have them in the Data section

I guess that this has fucked up my game.
I endend Point Lookout's quest, and the last I done was supposed to take place in the Wasts... I endend it but now the game keeps crashing everytime I player something like 5-10 minutes...
And I even get a HUD bug, writings (like "E) Super-Mutant" and "E)(take an object or open a door) )
I'm sure at 75% that the DLC is the cause. 25 % might be a probleme due to a mod (Can't be true because I played alot with the 1.6 installed and the mod)
Or maybe it only crashes on the Wastes and not in PLookout...

I have the reloaded version of fallout 3 and i also have pitt,anchorage, and broken steel. Everything works great except for point lookout.
When i get to the boat the textures i guess you would call it are freaking out. They keep changing from like dark black to normal and when i get to point lookout i play for 5mins and it crashes help?

C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Data Files-Place BSA's here and the construction set file, thats what you activate in the launchers data files menu. Bik files go into videos, and apart from that there might only be sound and I doubt a shader package. but usually sound is split up into the appropriat folders in the mod files so you just put stuff were it was but in the programs files. File structures just like bethesda's other games. I saw exclamation marks like onesob13 when I was installing wizards island for morrowind. it was a reg entry, sounds like somethings not in the right spot

To the people having diamonds with exclamation marks - it means you are missing meshes. I had the same problem. The solution is - if you don't have it already, download fallout mod manager from fallout 3 nexus, install it, open up the bsa archive with fomm, make a new folder and extract the files for both bsa archives into that folder. After that copy the files from the folder to fallout /data directory. I don't know why but the esp will not recognise the files while inside a bsa archive. I think archive invalidation has something to do with that.
