TALES OF TERROR!

Tales of Terror was a Sacramento punk rock band which was active from 1982 until 1984. The much loved band released a self-titled LP in 1984 on the label CD Presents. The LP is rare, and no CD version has been released. Tales of Terror is also featured on "Skate Rock 2" comp LP (Thrasher, 1984); "Rat Music for Rat People V2" comp LP (CD Presents, 1984); and on "Them Boners Be Poppin' comp LP (Boner Records, 1995). That compilation includes Tales's songs "Texas Against the World" and "LSD for Africa."[1] The band consisted of: Pat Stratford (guitar) Jeff Magner (vocals/bass) confirmed deceased by manslaughter Lyon Wong (vocals/lead guitar) confirned deceased by drig overdose Mike Thorpe (drums)

This is their first, only and very strange LP brought to you mp3ized by nero. To correct the header, it was Magner that bit it by overdose and poor Wong that got his ass kicked by high schoolers. Check yourself...

the tales of terrors first band was called the "square cools" (a reverse of the "circle jerks") who can be found on jello biafra's amazing compilation called not so quiet on the western front. the song is called > i dont wanna die for my country" and it rocks my soul.
re-released late 90's on cd by jello's alternative tentacles label. :)
