FYI: This is no fake. As Vargen already pointed out this is a low budget movie by he production company The Asylum.
Asylum specialized in producing low budget versions of Blockbusters (I Am Omega -> I Am Legend, Monster -> Cloverfield, Sunday School Musical -> High School Musical, see IMHO some of the Asylum flicks were much better than the overhyped Hollywood movies.

As much as I love the movie, I think ICP are just pulling in viewers. Don't get me wrong, I love their music. It just seems like you are watching the parts with ICP and ignoring the storyline.
As for the movie; A great piece of work, some parts are a bit bullshit, but it was creative nontheless.
Definately worth the watch.
