It is based on the legend of Anastasia, the daughter of Tsar Nikolai 2., and tells us what happens to Anastasia later. In 1917 the Romanov family is not allowed to rule Russia anymore, and the evil Rasputin arrests the family. However, Anastasia and her grandmother escapes, but little Anastasia loses her grandmother at the the trainstation. Later she wants to be reunited with her family, but sadly she has forgotten who she really is!? The story is excellent(despite of not being a 100% historically correct), the animation is some of the best that I`ve ever seen in a cartoon-movie, and the soundtrack is mostly stunning. A worthy alternative to Disney`s classics, and far better than most of Disney`s newer movies. 9,5/10
