It isn't the case of a fanboy RARing anything. That's the way the groups release the rips. It's part of the scene rules.

And about RARing them: It's completely redundant over BitTorrent, since BT always does an integrity check on the downloaded data, and it'll re-request parts that fail the check.
But I suppose if people are going to share the torrent-downloaded RARs on other P2P networks that don't verify downloads... then I could see the use of RARed torrents. A small use, but a use nonetheless.

I download these RAR torrents because they always have the NFO file. I want those NFO files because sometimes there's some info about nukes/proper reasons.
