Yep, the Euro Releases have taken out anything and everything related to gore, including blood, but they renamed a lot of the drug terms

Knaster you probably had a US copy when you played it, ALL Euro copies of both fallout games were censored to hell and back

hii, I live in sweden and have the original fallout 1 and 2 games and they both have blood, gore and sex in it so either they removed it from the EU copies when i bought it ooooor they company i bought it from bought it from an US company and shipped it right away to their stores overruling the anti blood n gore rules....

The difference is in the children. US version has children, european doesn't.

Thank you for this. I have been trying to make an ISO file of my Fallout games because I dug them out of an old beaten down cardboard box and I wanted to preserve them. However it was already too late and my stupid Nero couldn't read the disc to make the image file. So this is perfect for me. I once again get to enjoy a great game.

All of you are wrong. Well except for the guys saying that these are great games, since they really are. The ONLY differences between the EU and US versions are that the EU versions had the children removed and the words "drug" and "addiction" replaced with "chem" (short for chemical) and "craving". Only some specific localized EU versions (e.g. the German ones) were censored in terms of gore and violence. The children can be manually added to the EU versions by using fan-made patches, and so can the gore thing with the ones that have it removed. I don't know any work-arounds for the verbal censorship though, but unless you don't mind hearing about chem cravings instead of drug addictions, you are going to be just fine with the EU versions aswell. One of the characters in Fallout 1 actually say the word "drug" out loud but it still displays the word "chem" in the subtitles for the EU versions, which is kind of silly, as is censoring a game that is rated for adults only anyways. Anyhoo, I myself prefer the US versions over the EU ones too, since they are much less trouble when it comes to adding the censored stuff back into the games.
