It does indeed appear to work.

It works. I had this start up problem, theres was a black screen and got back to windows everytime i tried to lauch ithe game. This resolved to problem. Don't forget to add /offline to the shortcut. Tested on Windows 7 64 bits, nvidia video card.

I forgot to mention that I use Prophet patch (and never used the skidrow crack)

Doesn't solve my problem - game still crashes after few turns in-game.
