That would seem to be the most apt description upon one's first impression of Scrapland, the latest action game from designer American McGee and publisher Enlight Software. Featuring a seemingly open-ended gameplay structure, a noirish murder mystery, a goofy sense of humor, and a huge city to explore, Scrapland would seem to have all the makings of a futuristic adventure of epic proportions. Unfortunately, the initial vibe the game puts forth doesn't quite pan out throughout its entire experience. Overly repetitive gameplay and mission designs knock a lot of the wind from Scrapland's sails as the game progresses, and the story could have been fleshed out in a more enjoyable fashion. Scrapland is still pretty good overall, but there's definitely a level of potential here that just doesn't ever quite get realized. The story opens up with D-Tritus entering Chimera, an all-robot asteroid, and looking for work. All the good jobs are taken, though, and he has to settle for being a lowly journalist. He quickly unearths a murder mystery that will have him risking life and limb on his way to a heroic finish. This is the scariest install I've ever seen! Rap song playing from internal mp3. Installer running windows media player and directx Update. WTF? The game isn't working. I wouldn't download here...

i receivd this error and solved it myself.. (:

Message (when going down the elevator): File could not be opened: 'Save/Save0.sav'
OR this message (when trying to save; before going down the elevator): File could not be opened: 'Save/Save1.sav'
firstly dwld 100% save from and extract it to root directory.now run and play new game and whoopie! enjoy

You don't have to download anything....Just go into the game directory C:\Games\Scrapland and create a folder called Save. This will stop that save error
