I'm new to the whole torrent thing. I've figured out how to DL and watch videos, but what does "seed" mean and how do I do it ?

When you have downloaded a file to 100%, it will (in most torrent softwares) automatically start seeding itself. This means that people can download the file from you, and everyone else who is seeding the same file. The more seeds, the fasted the download.
