This deliciously twisted, stomach-tightening thriller is strong stuff, most notably for its several homosexual rapes, an excruciatingly protracted torture sequence, and one of the eeriest villains since Dennis Hopper\\\'s Frank Booth in Blue Velvet. A comedy it is not. Rather, it\\\'s a darkly textured British drama with thriller elements that explores the idea of sex and power, while inducing a number of very visceral reactions along the way.
