Description:

Star Wars the Force Unleashed for Ps2 Released Sept. 16, 2008. Format: DVD5 NTSC-USA Discs: 1 Lang.: English Image: ISO Requirements: Modded/Chipped ps2, or Swap Magic disc method. Compressed with WinRar, Game was tested and works. If you don't have Winrar try 7zip google it, its free. (You could try the homebrew exploit to (Free Mc Boot - Also known as soft modding for ps2), if your ps2 system isn't hard modded with a chip or if Swap Magic isn't working as a last resort. There are ps2 emulators but its not 100% & the quality isn't as good as playing your game on your ps2 console.) If your using swap magic and don't have a flip top, you'll need to first remove the front cover of the disc tray for use of the slide card. Here's a link for how to remove the front cover... http://www.modchipstore.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=49&nav=0,2 And here's some links on using the slide tool to open the tray to swap in your ps2 copy or backup game. http://www.swapmagic3.com/slide-tool/Instructions.htm http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/340944 http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/15105 Those that don't have a modded Ps2 Here's a few links for Free MC Boot & how to use it to soft mod your ps2 so you can be able to play burned games. Free Mc Boot won't work on newer models of ps2 you'll have to use an older version the tutorial explains this. -- http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/ You will also need to patch the iso (the PS2 game) with ESR disc patcher GUI v0.24a if your using free mc boot with ESR Elf to boot your p2 copies or backups (No-swapping required for esr method). After patching burn the iso with Imgburn or Dvd Decrypter to respectable media then use the ESR through fmcb after you installed everything to boot your game. You will still need to use the proper media for the game to run or load properly regardless if your using fmcb, a modded ps2, or swap magic. Try Verbatim DVD+R (Booktype to DVD-ROM), or Tayio Yuden, burn at 8x if its a 16x max. You really can't use Maxell DVD+R for example or some other brand as it more than likely will not work. Note: If fmcb isn't working and your Ps2 isn't Modded, Swap Magic should do the trick. Game Description: An entirely new chapter in the Star Wars Saga, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice" and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The game's expansive story is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist Vader in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi--and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny. Game Pics Included. Burn with Dvd Decrypter or ImgBurn, at half speed. if 16x then burn at 8x, if 8x then burn at 4x etc. Use Verbatim or Tayio Yuden DVD+R or DVD-R Media. Using any other media might not work at all. (If DVD+R then Booktype to DVD-ROM) Any problems or anything else post a comment. Those that can't find DVD Decrypter here's a link for download Use this for burning. http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/ (At website look down to where you see the link for DVDDecrypter 3.5.4.0 download) (The link will be named 'SetupDVDDecrypter_3.5.4.0.exe') Remember everyone seeding is good, you should seed because if I didn't or the other guy didn't... you wouldn't have this great game or others. Makes sense. Enjoy!

why in the hell keep uploading patched version.

 Big_dude (2008-09-17)

Because I've tested this out and it works perfectly. I didn't see any other patched version for this game yet.

afgaviria (2008-09-17)

sorry man, your right, keep with you good work

 Big_dude (2008-09-17)

Thanks, I'd rather play this for the price of a dvd-r disc than spend $40.00 to buy it new...since there both the same anyhow.

afgaviria (2008-09-17)

i will help you to seed for at least a month (at 5 kps)

LV55 (2008-09-17)

This may be a dull question but, how come the Pal version is 3.5 gigas, and the patch from that is only 1.08GiB? Was there something ripped from it or is this standard compression procedure?
Thanks a lot and sorry if the question was way too stupid.

 Big_dude (2008-09-17)

no this game has been pre-patched to ntsc and
is compressed down to 1.08 gig in folder that contains game as it is rar'd, use winrar to uncompress it. All you have to due after that
is burn it as decribed in info how to do (dvd decrypter).

enddodays (2008-09-18)

Oh my god, seed. I've downloaded purely from leechers. And unfortunately I'm stuck at 93.6%

superpt (2008-09-19)

This copy doesn't work! What program did you use to patch it?

 Big_dude (2008-09-19)

Yes it does just retry several times it didn't work
when I tryed to play it, if you have a modded ps2 you might need to try to reset it a couple of times, I got the screen 'please insert a playstation 2 game format disc' several times. But after trying a couple of times it booted up. If your ps2 is proplely modded it should work. I used dvd decrypter with a dvd+r verbatim disc & book-typed it to dvd-rom, burned at half speed. And it works fine on my console.

oblachubs (2008-09-19)

Um you don't have a properly modded system if you have to F with rebooting a game several times. I'll download Loder's version just above this one.

 Big_dude (2008-09-19)

To set the record straight this game is not broken and works perfectly, I can't stress this enough. I was only talking about my ps2 console as it is a little older, You shouldn't have to reboot the ps2 a couple of times. This games works like any other burned working ps2 game out there.

bords (2008-09-19)

ill give this a try.. thnx man. by the way, what do u mean by "half speed"? Ive installed the dvd decrypter already, and set on ISO write, but im not sure of the speed.. I want to do it right.. pls help.. thnx again

 Big_dude (2008-09-20)

What I mean by half speed is simple. look at the max disc write speed on your dvd media,
for example if its a dvd-r x16 you'd burn it at 8x speed, if its a x8 max you'd burn it at 4x speed.
hope this makes sence.

 Big_dude (2008-09-22)

well as long as your console is modded right,
the only other thing is maybe the dvd media your burning with. I prefer dvd decrypter over nero, for ps2 games. Try Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or Ritek Ridata DVDs. Also try out dvd decrypter burn at half speed if dvd+r book type it to dvd-rom. Works on mine great. Hope this helps.

Sukhdev (2008-09-23)

Possible to play this with an PS2 emulator on computer?

okinakazumi (2008-09-23)

Could you please recommend a dvd decrypter. Like give me a link and i have memorex dvd+r that can hold 4.7gb.

Pyralord (2008-09-28)

Hey Guys.
Ive downloaded MANY torrents and not a single one has worked yet. Now I REALLY want to get this one, but the problem is that I always get the 'Wrong Format' screen when I start up the playstation with this disk inside. ALWAYS!! What should I do?!???!

pogi26 (2008-09-30)

hey guys can somebody help me pls!! where should i go to mod my ps2? i live here in cali here in murrieta near san diego

conner2357 (2008-10-03)

how do you run it on your computer?

Ascarona (2008-10-12)

This does not work, i have tryed it over 50 times to get it to run but it keeps going to the PS2 screen with Browser and Systemconfiguration. It cant even run the game.

 Big_dude (2008-10-16)

hmmm... weird, runs fine on my ps2 console.
Its an older fat (modded ps2).
should work if your ps2 is modded right, and use dvd decrypter to burn with (try aterdawn.com forums should have it for download), and correct dvd disks like verbatim, ritdek ridata, or Taiyo Yuden. If DVD+R book type it to dvd-r.
what did u use to try to get the game to work?

 Big_dude (2008-10-16)

thats afterdawn.com forums

MasterX300max (2008-10-29)

Thanks man. save me 60 dollars . ill try to help you seed as much as i can . got anything else new man ?

 Big_dude (2008-11-12)

To Masterx300max... well yes I really only upload games and stuff when I feel they need to be uploaded and see fit to. Especially ones that are hard to find, rare, or that no-one else has yet uploaded. So expect more to come.

neno777 (2008-11-14)

hey Big_dude i have a question. I downloaded the game, uncompressed it and tried to burn the ISO with ImgBurn and DVD Decrypter->no luck... :S I get a note "Failed to reserve track! Reason: Cannot write medium-incompatible format". What do I do now :S

 Big_dude (2008-11-14)

Question Has anyone got this game working for them? If so please leave a comment. I need to know if my upload is working or not for this game. Yeah or nay?

leumasx7 (2008-12-15)

Can some more people please seed...

gotanksshine (2008-12-17)

will this work on a regular PS3?

 Big_dude (2009-01-14)

To gottanksshine:
No a backup ps2 game of any kind will not work as of yet on the ps3, for that you need a retail ps2 game to play on the ps3. If you want to play this game on the ps3 go buy it, lol. Reason being is simply because the ps3 hasn't been modded yet, and no ways of booting any backup games has been discovered yet maybe they will some day hack it like they did for ps1 and ps2 I don't know. I think one of the major hurdles is the fact that the ps3 has 6 cpu cells or something you know that hardcore cell processor...which is probably a bitch for mod-chip makers, and the fact that the ps3 custom made hardware/software from sony and the major software inside the ps3 that's needed to crack is simply locked out, encrypted, and hidden.
I really don't know all the details about it but Sony really did go all out this time to secure their latest console...and the ps3 games themselves.
But obviously this game will work on a burned dvd disc if you have a probably modded ps2 that can load backups, or if you use the latest version of swap magic disc method on a non-modded ps2, and it is also possible to use 'free mc boot' or homebrew exploit method, u can use on a regular non-modded ps2 to run backups...but you have to do some work in order to boot up to get to the freemcboot installer theres guides online that explain the whole process, still involves you to buy I think retail codebreakers disc, u need a usb flash drive, and do some other stuff including patching the game image to be able to run.
This is also known as 'soft modding the ps2'. And is a way you try if u can't get it hard-modded, (Chipped).
Ps3 I heard from some people really do think
that mod-chip makers will eventually finally crack it and they may have chips available...but I couldn't tell yell if this will happen or not. I guees if it ever does happen then there will be a ps3 scene.
But Sony might start arressting people then or they will call the feds lol.
Or simply come out with new more secure ps3 firmware, and copy protection on the games.
(Which they do that now anyway with other game systems).
But you see what I mean though.
And how course you'd need a blu-ray dvd burner, for ps3 games, and probably certain or special software to burn the blu-ray game image right.
If that would even be possible but yet another hurdle is like with the dc gd-rom games(people figured that out already though) the ps3 games but have some special custom copy protection or might not be readable on a pc bluray drive where you cant do a direct burn (like the xbox games).
Or the ps3 games might only be readable on the ps3 itself, and even assuming you can connect to it to have it rip the game for you.
The ps3 game might also be burned or pressed weird like from the outside in or something which they do at the time of disc manufacture, which will also make it unreadable also when trying to burn the game to your computer.
This is all hersay though because this hasn't happened and no one knows if it will happen for ps3 yet but cross your fingers.

 Big_dude (2009-01-16)

Regarding xbox games from my last quote--
Xbox orginal games have some of the tracks reversed on the disc, which is way you cannot do a direct rip or read off of the disc from a pc dvd burner. For that you have to connect your pc to xbox through ftp and use other software including a dashboard for xbox and other crap to have to xbox itself rip the game to your computer or save it from their because only the xbox console drive can read the disc. But u don't need that if you download xbox games online they already did all the hard work for you to rip the game image, you just need a probably modded xbox and burn the Iso to a blank dvd disc.

 Big_dude (2009-01-16)

And yes of course microsoft did this to damper copyright infringement or more or less a another security measure to stop piracy of their games. But sure you could figure that one out yourself.

 Big_dude (2009-02-19)

You guys and anyone else downloading this need to seed don't just leech, I can't seed all the time.

jugerts (2009-07-13)

will this work on epsxe?

technosailor (2009-07-19)

I have the game running on a PS2 Emulator (PCSX2 0.9.6). I've downloaded a PS2 BIOS (EU/USA 2.0) from this site. The sound has stuttering on some configurations, looks like my PC is not fast enough: I have had a good performance when using Pixel Shader 2 (instead of 3) and minimum settings on the video/sound/Advanced config and using the, INTC Sync Hack, speed hack provided by PCSX2 0.9.6, I'm fine tunning to get better visual efects without laggin the game but I haven't had any success yet.
My PC:
- CPU: P4 HT 3.0, 478 pins, 1MB L2 Cache, 800 FSB.
- MoBo: Intel 865G PERL
- Video: XFX nVidia 6200
- Sound: Integrated, 33 Hardware buffers, DX9 Compatible.
Memory: 2GB DDR-400, Dual Channel Configuration.

 Big_dude (2009-08-22)

To neno777
This might be to late for a comment to neno777 but it sounds like its either your burner, or the type of media your using Try Verbatim DVD+R or Verbatim DVD-R.
(Booktype to dvd-rom if dvd+R).
Verbatim will almost always work, or try Tayio Yuden DVD media you might have to buy it online but at least that is the best you can get and will work on a modded ps2.
But if you can't even burn it I suggest you get a new external/internal burner like philips, LG, sony, etc.
Or I don't know could be a software issue, if you
really want this game and can't get this working...you'd be better off buying it then.
Gamestop sells this game for only $19.99 new.

spurt85 (2009-09-23)

I was wondering how to get this game to work with a PS2 emulator on my computer, any help would be great, thanks!

rodrigoann1 (2010-11-06)

The file System.CNF says:
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\SLES_546.58;1
VER = 1.01
VMODE = PAL
Is this really a NTSC version?

rodrigoann1 (2010-11-08)

Sorry for my mistake.
It's a patched version (PAL to NTSC)
