Top Gear S16 E4&E5 [Fixed Audio Problems with MKV2VOB]

Gotsent sucks, it makes the audio stereo and it sounds very subpar. So, last night I had enough and did not go to sleep until I figured it out. I read up on audio headers then I separated (demuxed) the video (h264) and audio (ac3) and began doing some forensic analysis on the ac3 audio. Many programs got confused while trying to open this file, some reported it as stereo, some as 5.1 dolby digital. I tried many things, including extracting all 6 audio channels and resampling the audio then muxing it back into an AC3 file and trick the header. Then I figured it out. What's happening is when FOV is recording and editing these episodes he's unintentionally leaving around 200 milliseconds (blank screen) from the previous show that was on BBC. And guess what, that previous program was stereo in lieu of 5.1 DD. So what you have is an audio file that starts out stereo and switches to 5.1 DD, thus causing things to wrong. I've successfully fixed episode 4 & 5. I've still got to do episode 2 (this was also a FOV release) Once done, I will put all three in a torrent and put up a link for those PS3ms users that are interested. Additionally, I'll be poised to correct the issue should it also occur for episode 6. Cheers, Ant

Hum, well, I'm not sure what happened, but mediainfo is reporting this as stereo now.
It plays and sounds fine, but it's not 5.1
I don't understand how that happened, because when I did the final muxing with TSMuxer, it recognized the file as AC3 5.1
I will do more experimenting with S16E02

Upon further review, I have found that all previous 720p releases were 192kbps AC3 audio, just as these files are in this torrent.
Even the commerically available BluRays are the same audio format.
So, I was trippin' for nothing - all is well.
